As an athlete, you regularly spend hours each week training to improve your performance. The food you eat has a significant impact on both your ability to build strength and endurance as well as your ability to recover from your workouts.

An athlete’s nutritional requirements are much higher than the average individual. Proper nutrition is a key component of a training program designed for optimal performance. Proper nutrition will allow you to maximize your training, elevate your performance, and support your desire to compete at the highest level. Unfortunately, an inadequate diet can put you at risk for certain nutritional deficiencies. If you are experiencing low energy, fatigue, frequent colds, and have seen an increase in stress fractures and pulls, a poor diet may be to blame.

Eating properly for your sport is as important as practicing your skills. Players who understand what and when to eat and drink will have an edge over their competition. Eating a diet personally designed to meet your nutritional needs specific to your sport and to your level of training, will increase your energy, endurance and ability to concentrate. Using a whole-body approach that addresses nutrition, supplements, stress, sleep, exercise and more, we work with you to develop a comprehensive lifestyle plan. We start by looking at your traditional lab work, and how the results relate to your existing signs and symptoms.  We may then recommend some additional specialty lab tests to help determine what’s going on inside your body. We then develop an integrative plan to help you bring about positive changes, which can alleviate, delay or prevent complications related to chronic disease.
